In a new song, controversial rapper Kanye West features jailed Sean “Diddy” Combs and lets his young daughter rap.

Controversial rapper Kanye West, 47, is causing trouble with a new song—especially for his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, 44. In the track released on Saturday, he not only features his friend Sean “Diddy” Combs, 55—who is currently in jail for alleged sexual crimes—but also allows his eleven-year-old daughter North West to rap. His ex has reportedly already taken legal action against it.

West’s latest work, titled “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” was released on X on Saturday. The song opens with a voice recording that appears to be a phone conversation between West and Sean “Diddy” Combs. The latter has been in custody since September 2024, facing accusations of rape and sex trafficking.

“I love you so much, man”

“I just want to thank you so much for taking care of my kids, man,” the alleged voice of Combs says in the conversation. “No one took care of them, no one called them.” Kanye West responds: “For sure, I love you so much, man. You raised me. Even though I don’t really know you, you know what I mean?”

A short while later, North West, the daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, makes a brief but notable appearance, rapping: “When you see me shine, then you see the light.”

Kim Kardashian takes legal action

According to the Daily Mail, Kim Kardashian has now taken legal steps to reverse the release of the controversial song. Reportedly, she is outraged that her ex-husband is dragging their daughter into the Diddy scandal. An unnamed source claims that she had already initiated legal action in advance to prevent the track’s release and is now working to “have the song removed from X.”

Shortly before the release of “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” West also posted a supposed screenshot of an aggressive text exchange between him and Kardashian. In the conversation, Kardashian asserts that she owns the copyright—i.e., the naming rights—for their daughter. She also demands that West “stop” the Diddy song and informs him about her legal actions.

This prompts an angry reaction from West in the published exchange. His response: “Drop this, or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’ll have to kill me.” However, the controversial rapper deleted the post shortly after publishing it.
