Lauren Graham: Actress Dated “Gilmore Girls” Co-Stars

Lauren Graham still frequently talks about the love life of her “Gilmore Girls” character, Lorelai. But now, the actress surprises fans with a personal revelation: She has dated several of her co-stars.

Lauren Graham, 58, became world-famous in 2000 for her role as Lorelai Gilmore. For seven years, she played the eccentric hotel manager with a coffee addiction who became a mother as a teenager. Just a few months ago, the actress emphasized that Lorelai is still together with Luke Danes (played by Scott Patterson, 66). Now, she is once again opening up about the hit series but, for the first time, is revealing details about her own love life.

Lauren Graham Got Close to Some of Her “Gilmore Girls” Co-Stars

In the podcast Call Her Daddy, Lauren Graham admits that she had a romantic connection with “some” of her Gilmore Girls co-stars. “Dating is too big a word for some of these experiences,” the actress jokes, explaining to podcast host Alex Cooper, 30: “But you know, you’re on set for 14 or 15 hours. Who else are you supposed to meet?”

The now 58-year-old does not reveal exactly whom she got close to but emphasizes that it was actors who played Lorelai’s partners. She also clarifies that she never had anything with Scott Patterson, aka Luke.

These Actors Could Be Potential Candidates

However, that still leaves several possible love interests, as Lorelai had quite a few suitors over the course of seven seasons.

The first name that comes to mind is David Sutcliffe, 55, who played Lorelai’s teenage love and Rory’s father, Christopher Hayden (played by Alexis Bledel, 43). Chris and Lorelai have an on-and-off relationship in the series, even getting married before she realizes that her heart belongs to the diner owner.

Scott Cohen, 63, also portrays an important love interest in the show. He plays Rory’s teacher, Max Medina, who dates Lorelai multiple times—even getting engaged to her at one point. Another significant relationship for Emily Gilmore’s (played by Kelly Bishop, 81) daughter is Jason Stiles, portrayed by actor Chris Eigeman, 60.

Additionally, throughout the series, she has shorter flings with Peyton Sanders (Jon Hamm, 54) and Alex Lesman (Billy Burke, 58).

Actress Married Her “Parenthood” Co-Star

It will likely remain a secret which of these actors Lauren Graham was involved with. What is certain, however, is that she walked down the aisle with a different man—from a different series. She married her Parenthood co-star Peter Krause, 59, in 2010, but the couple split in 2021. Their marriage did not produce any children.

In the Call Her Daddy podcast, Lauren Graham now explains that she never had a set timeline for having kids. She thought it would simply happen—or not. “There’s an age when many people get married, there’s an age when many people have children. And then there are people who just don’t follow that timing,” says Graham, adding, “I don’t know whether to advocate for that or apologize for it.”
