Prince Harry: Turmoil Over His U.S. Visa

Is a new scandal looming for Prince Harry? A judge in the U.S. has allegedly ordered the release of his visa records.

Prince Harry’s (40) U.S. visa documents are reportedly set to be published in the coming days, according to The Daily Mail and The Sun. A judge in Washington has allegedly ordered that the Duke of Sussex’s papers be made public by Tuesday.

Did Harry lie on his visa application?

This follows a request for disclosure of his visa, submitted by the Heritage Foundation. However, according to media reports, some parts will be redacted, and a portion of the documents will remain sealed. It is unclear what specific material will be released, but it could include forms indicating whether Harry answered “no” to the question about drug use, The Daily Mail reports.

The conservative Heritage Foundation had previously sued the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to gain access to the 40-year-old’s records. The plaintiffs argue that Harry may have provided false answers on his visa application regarding his history of drug use. In his 2023 autobiography Spare, he admitted to using cocaine, cannabis, and hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Donald Trump wants to leave Prince Harry alone

Prince Harry moved to the U.S. in 2020 with his wife, Duchess Meghan (43), settling in her home country. The couple now lives with their two children in Montecito, California. According to legal experts, U.S. immigration law requires travelers to answer questions about past drug use truthfully. Failure to do so could lead to consequences, including deportation.

However, former U.S. President Donald Trump (78) has apparently no interest in deporting Harry. “I don’t want to do that,” he told the New York Post. “I will leave him alone.” In his reasoning, Trump took a swipe at Meghan: “He has enough problems with his wife. She is terrible,” the former president reportedly said. Trump also claimed that “poor Harry is being led by the nose.” Last year, the 78-year-old had still considered deportation as a possibility.
