Within the so-called “WAG” community (an acronym for “wives and girlfriends,” referring to high-profile women associated with professional athletes), Morgan Riddle, 27, regularly faces resentment. However, the longtime partner of tennis pro Taylor Fritz, 27, refuses to be silenced.

Speaking on The Squeeze podcast on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Riddle explained what sets her apart from other women in the stands and why she is so polarizing.
“In the past, many of the older wives and partners on the tour were very reserved, sitting in the box with their heads down. They were there to support their partners, but they didn’t have big public personalities,” said Morgan Riddle, who has been in a relationship with Taylor Fritz since June 2020.
While some players in the past have dated famous women, none of them have embraced this lifestyle as openly as Riddle. The influencer began posting TikToks about her relationship shortly after meeting Fritz on the dating app Raya. “When you’re dating a professional tennis player and all you do is travel the world, dress up, drink champagne, and attend tennis matches,” she said in a video from October 2021.
Morgan Riddle deliberately showcases the luxurious side of her life on social media, as she revealed in the podcast: “I definitely have a certain persona on TikTok […] and I say things that I know are controversial enough to make people upset but not enough to get canceled.” She is well aware that she provokes reactions, but because so many people, both online and in person, can’t stop talking about her, she enjoys stirring the pot.

According to Riddle, she lost the approval of some women connected to high-profile tennis players early on. “I was told that when I first started posting TikToks a few years ago, there was a clique of older player wives on the tour who shared my videos in their group chat and made fun of me. I’ve definitely faced a lot of backlash from the tennis community and from fans,” she said.
However, the negative comments only motivated her further to follow her own path. “I think because people expected me to sit quietly in the box and not capitalize on my partner’s career, I became even louder. I thought: ‘F*** it!’ And I posted whatever I wanted.”
Her over half a million TikTok followers celebrate Riddle for her independence, and she continues to film herself jetting around the world, getting ready for her boyfriend’s matches, and embracing glamorous makeup and bold fashion choices.

The 27-year-old enjoys being underestimated because she knows she can’t please everyone. “I’ve always been naturally confident and open to putting myself out there, and I believe that what people say about me is really just a reflection of themselves,” Riddle stated.
Taylor Fritz Defends His Girlfriend in Front of the World
Taylor Fritz fully supports his girlfriend. In fact, he is the one who reminds her not to be affected by negative online comments.
“When it first started, I said, ‘Oh my God, look at what this person wrote!’ And he was like, ‘Why are you even reading that?’ […] He has always been great at defending me and what I do,” Morgan Riddle shared.
According to Riddle, the negative remarks from outsiders have no impact on their relationship. The couple has a “very healthy relationship,” and Fritz even supports the fact that she has built a career of her own.
